The laboratory will contribute to research and development and specifically to develop tech-niques and standards for quality and reliability testing. This laboratory will also support the needs of SMEs throughout the project and provide a support platform.
The project partners ITR (Tele and Radio Research Institute, Warsaw, Poland) and ISSP (Institute of Solid State Physicy of the University of Latvia, Riga) have set up the facilities to conduct the required tests for quality assurance with the help of experienced SME personnel. Among the offered services are solderability assessment, SIR test in climatic chamber, ionic cleanliness, optical/x-ray inspection, etc.
